Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I know which coaching path is right for me?
Start with an Intro Strategy Session. We’ll review your goal, schedule, training history, current obstacles, and level of support needed, then point you toward the best-fit system — Private Coaching, HYROX, Online Coaching, Performance Pods, the Strength Reset System, or Corporate Wellness.
2. Do I need to be advanced to start coaching with you?
No. You need to be ready for structure. We work with clients at every starting point, but every path requires communication, consistency, and a willingness to follow the process.
3. Do I need a gym membership to train with you?
No. You don’t need a separate gym membership. Private coaching sessions are conducted in our Arlington, VA studio or virtually, and your plan includes access to the equipment needed for your scheduled sessions.
4. What coaching options do you offer?
Private Performance Coaching (The Get Right Method), HYROX Performance Coaching, Online Performance Coaching, Performance Pods, Corporate Wellness & Performance, and the Strength Reset System.
5. Is this personal training, or something different?
Private coaching may include in-person training sessions, but the full offer is more than that. It includes structure, programming, nutrition strategy, accountability, and ongoing adjustment based on your progress — not just a workout for the hour.
6. Can I train virtually instead of coming into the studio?
Yes. Private coaching includes a virtual option for clients who can’t make it in person, in addition to the standalone Online Performance Coaching program for clients who train entirely on their own or at a home gym.
7. Can I pause or freeze my membership?
Garrett is the founder and lead coach, and every coach on the team is trained inside the same methodology — diagnose the need, prescribe the plan, coach the execution, adjust based on progress. That means you get the same coaching standard whether you’re working with Garrett directly or another coach on the team. Let us know if you have a preference when you book.
8. How do my monthly sessions actually work?
Your membership is built around a weekly coaching frequency, not a flexible session pack. For example, a 2x/Week membership allows you to train up to twice each week. Sessions are tied to your weekly allocation and do not accumulate throughout the month. Think of it as a weekly training commitment, not a punch card.
9. If I don't use a session this week, can I use it next week instead?
No. Sessions are tied to the week they’re scheduled in. If your plan includes 2 sessions a week and you only use 1, that unused session does not carry forward to the following week or get “saved up” for later in the month. Your session count resets each week based on your plan.
10. What's the cancellation policy for sessions?
You can reschedule or cancel a session as long as you give at least 24 hours’ notice. Full policy details are outlined when you book.
11. Can I pause or freeze my membership?
Freeze options vary by coaching plan. If you need to pause your membership for an extended absence, contact us and we’ll review the options available under your plan.
12. What are the pricing options for coaching?
Pricing depends on the coaching system, training frequency, and level of support you need. Most private coaching options are structured around ongoing memberships or defined coaching programs rather than individual session packs. Visit the Pricing page for current options, or book an Intro Strategy Session and we’ll recommend the best fit.
13. Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay for coaching?
Yes, in many cases. We partner with Truemed to help clients use pre-tax HSA/FSA dollars for coaching that’s used to treat or prevent a medical condition. You’ll complete a short health assessment, and if approved, receive a Letter of Medical Necessity to submit for reimbursement.
